captures the core material of the spiritual journey and examines the
process of healing the human condition through what he calls the
Divine Therapy of Contemplation. We will view 3 tapes,
practice centering prayer and discuss Keating’s book, The Human

are all aging. Those of us over 50 are a little more aware of its
agony and ecstasy. This morning retreat will help us to grow in
trust of God who holds our past, present and future. We need God most of all and
beyond all our other needs.

Lectio Divina is a form of prayer that saturates us in
Scripture. It allows
the Word of God to penetrate into our entire being and take root in
our everyday life. It
teaches us to pray with Scripture by reading, reflecting,
responding, and resting in God’s Word for 20 minutes. Would you like to practice

continue our study of St. John of the Cross this year using a
combination of his maxims and the Ascent of Mt. Carmel, along
with Ascent to Love by Ruth Burrows, OCD. We will
follow with Lectio Divina and Centering Prayer 2:30 – 3:30 for those
who can stay. Donation: $150
